「部屋干しすると洗濯物が臭う！」どうすればいい？

雨の日や梅雨の時期、花粉の季節など、

「外に洗濯物を干せない……」

そんな時に便利なのが部屋干しです。

でも、部屋干しすると気になるのが、

「洗濯物のイヤな臭い」

ですよね。

洗濯したばかりなのに、乾いたらなんだか臭う……

実は、部屋干しの臭いを防ぐポイントは、

「いかに早く乾かすか」

なんです。

■ なぜ部屋干しすると臭うの？

洗濯物のイヤな臭いの主な原因は、洗濯で落としきれなかった汚れや皮脂などを栄養にして、雑菌が増殖することです。

洗濯物が濡れている時間が長いほど、雑菌が繁殖しやすくなります。

つまり、

洗濯物が早く乾く
↓
雑菌が増えにくい
↓
イヤな臭いを防ぎやすい

ということです。

■ 部屋干し対策①「風を当てる」

部屋干しで一番大切なのが、風を当てることです。

扇風機やサーキュレーターを使って、洗濯物に風を当てると、水分が蒸発しやすくなります。

ポイントは、

洗濯物の間に風を通すこと。

洗濯物をぎゅうぎゅうに詰めて干すのではなく、できるだけ間隔を空けて干しましょう。

■ 部屋干し対策②「湿気を外に出す」

洗濯物から蒸発した水分は、部屋の中に湿気として残ります。
